Heritage Open Days 2025

Each September thousands of volunteers across the country invite you to experience local history, architecture and culture. All for free. Heritage Open Days returns Fri 12-Sun 21 September 2025.

Built in 1756 the Chapel is home to a thriving congregation of local Unitarians. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the splendid interior of this unique building and to learn more about its architecture and history. Although primarily a place of worship, it is also well known as a venue for concerts and other musical events.

WALKS

As part of the programme of Heritage Open Days there will be a circular guided walk, with the theme of “Architecture” led by historian Charles Lewis on Saturday 13 September and Saturday 20 September at 2pm.
